So I got an unopened daynaport scsi on eBay!! Mint in the box…shrinkwrapped! I probably overpaid for it but whatever.
i got one of those too! Although, I've never been able to get it working, and now I think something is wrong with it 😔 its such a shame too bc there's not a lot of options like that for getting a vintage mac online w ethernet. At least that I can see.

i'm struggling to get this one working, so far it has not worked correctly. so i doubt yours is defective - it's got to be an extension issue. did the hardware diagnostics work for you?

I had one and it did seem extremely picky about software. I never worked out exactly what it liked and didn't like, though.

As for it not working, I’d be surprised if it worked with Open Transport. Weren’t you putting/ trying to put 7.6 on your SE/30?

Well i think so too, but i was told at first that it was because I hadn't installed TCP/IP to my Mac, but then it started acting weird. Idk, I haven't touched it in a while.

What do you mean by extension issue exactly? you mean like a software extension or like the adb power extension thing?
did the hardware diagnostics work for you
Are you talking about a like hardware diagnosis thing in MacOS? I don't think I used that. I doubt it would do anything (At least for me) tho tbh

There is a hardware diagnostic that comes on the driver disc for it. My next very weird sometimes it wants to work sometimes it doesn’t it has serious extension problems with the driver that came on the floppy
