My IIfx did not start.
It starts with a jump start.
TOKAMAC IIfx will start for the first time in about 10 years.
IIfx's only PDS 68040 accelerator has worked!
 
Since the HDD is in a bad condition,
I will exchange it for CF or SD card drive.
Which is CF or SD recommended?
I plan to repair IIfx slowly.

I like SCSI2SD for Hard Drive replacement.

As stated above SCSI2SD v5 is the way to go. If you want a reliable microSD card for long term use, then get a Panasonic SLC industrial model, they are the best I found.

I can agree with omidimo. I have used Panasonic's industrial SD cards many times, simply amazing! With SD cards there many different grades of flash memory quality. I'm not talking about speed, I'm more talking about program erase cycles. Get a good SD card, do not cheap out.

I have not tried system 6x + Tokamac.
According to the manual, it seems that it can operate also on System 6x.
System 7.6.1 + Tokamac, the operation was possible.
OS is not a problem because some have.

I can not copy PAL of UK 7 on my own.
There is no choice but to ask a Professional company for this.

Can you read the top of the chip to see what brand and model it is?

A dozen years ago I contacted one of the owners of Tokamac who did the reworks and he could not find his programming file for that chip (he did send me the control software). Apparently Apple screwed up their bus mastering on the IIfx and each Tokamac card installed needed that chip reprogrammed.

I am hoping a cheap USB eprom programmer (or something like it) can read that chip so the contents can be saved (and I can rework my machine).

In the Tokamac IIfx manual,
There is a bug on the Apple side, it is written that it is PAL to fix the bug.
 
When you built a PAL program yourself,
Please also send me a program file.
I also want to keep a backup of the PAL program file.

Very cool.  The PAL might be useful for people other than TokaMac owners.  Unlikely, but maybe a homebrew IIfx Daystar adapter.

Daystar's adapter and PAL,

I do not know how it is involved. I'm sorry.
 
There are two kinds of Tokamac for IIci.
25 MHz is for photograph.
33 MHz is the same product as Presto 040 manufactured by Sonnet Technologies,
There is no performance difference from Daystar Turbo 040.
 
PAL is not necessary, both connect to the PDS.
