Can bad caps on Apple IIe card cause Mac to say card is not physically installed?

I clearly have a bad cap that’s leaking, but my 575 board is simply saying it’s not physically installed and then occasionally it works fine.

I’m going to replace the capacitors, however is that a symptom other people have experienced?

It doesn’t say it’s defective. It says it isn’t there at all.

Anything can happen with a bad cap (especially if a dead short) and check for damage elsewhere.

Yeah, it ended up being the capacitors. I swapped them out real quick because I saw the one was leaking pretty bad. Works perfect now and reliably.
