AppleCD 300i 2x Drive Gear

I've got what appears to be an otherwise working AppleCD 300i 2x CD-ROM drive from a Performa 6116CD. The laser assembly shuttle doesn't move properly, and I've found that the nylon drive gear is cracked - suspecting that's interfering with things.

Does anyone know of a 3D-printed replacement or other source for a replacement gear?

Starting with a tangent, have you considered cleaning it with alcohol, gluing and clamping it, perhaps with a cable tie? It would save you having to dismantle the whole thing and getting an interference fit.

I've not tried that yet, but failing an obvious replacement source was thinking about it.

I was posting here on the off chance somebody had stumbled on this problem before. :D
