Disappointingly, it seems like flashing a Dell-branded OEM Rage 128 Ultra with the PowerMac Rage 128 Pro VBIOS does not automagically work. I didn't expect it to, but it was at least worth finding out.
After a million years after asking about people experience with lag and such with them, I've bought a Wombat ADB-to-USB adapter to use on my old Macs. The cats have destroyed my original ADB peripherals. Still love them though.
My SE/30 sometimes makes this Sad Mac tone (in this case due to a poorly seated SIMM) – it's not often heard and the first half sounds a bit like a Game Boy. I wonder what it means and what fault causes it to play that specific tone.
