A better keyboard for the duo series would be a godsend. Even when they work those keyboards are awful. When my Duo 250 was new, I had to replace the keyboard twice out of warranty from some parts vendor advertising in the back of MacUser magazine when unimportant keys like N and Space stopped responding. And typing on that thing gave me RSI.

Yeah, I'd love to be able to swap in a reliable keyboard with low profile mechanical switches. Really excited to see this project!

@finkmac , agreed. I'm sure it would be hard to find compatible key switches. 3d printed adapters for low profile cherry switches?

There's not much room... between a backing plate, the PCB, the lowest profile (and reasonably priced) switches, I'm already over by 5mm above the stock height. Lid still does close (it pushes the keys down a bit). I was going to shave off the stems from the stock caps and glue in 3d printed adapters but I felt it was going to be too weak.
