Recreateing the Apple TechStep

I have the parts to assemble 3 or 4 more, just haven't had the time recently to actually assemble them
Will update here and on the for sale thread when they are ready. (A couple of people have already PM'd me over the last few months so they'll have first dibs when they are ready)

would it be possible to build test suites for other 68k macs, or even PPC? it would be very cool to be able to test the quadras. have the roms been decompiled?
Or is there already a way to run specific tests on unsupported macs, for example the floppy controller test?

I have looked into TechStep quite a bit from the source code side.
It is a combination of MC6811 code (TechStep itself) for the UI and the execution of the test cases _plus_ 68k code, which is uploaded to the tested computer. Adding new tests or modifying it is very tricky – I have no idea how the toolchain looked like. I guess it was all written in assembler and with MPW on a Mac. But I assume the MC6811 assembler was an Apple internal tool. I might just ask in our internal time capsule slack channel, if somebody remembers it.
