I just saw another bare PowerCD top unit available, base unit is the heart of the system, so don't buy just half of the unit unless it's for parts.

Caveat emptor: No criticism intended regarding untested available parts. I just don't want to see any top units blown up by SCSI Cable hookups. :O

Nope, took it apart! :rambo:   It's a jumper wire included M-F DB-25 signal converter kit from (the late?) Radio Shack that's very handy for buzzing connections.

I cut one down to a DA-19F -> DA-19M adapter converting what was ostensibly an Apple TPD/Portrait cable into a functional Portrait cable back in the day. Bought two on clearance, neither worked but one of the engineers at Griffin worked out the sense code fix without docs in real time as I drew the diagram on my end of the phone. I really miss the early days when engineers that founded companies did the tech support after answering the phone themselves.  :'(
