Original Kinetics Fastpath Manager for the KFPS-1?

Somehow I've ended up with a Kinetics Fastpath 1, and I'm struggling to find the original manager that would have came with it!

Unfortunately it seems that the Fastpath Manager II that is hosted by MacGUI doesn't particularly like the Fastpath-1 for whatever reason. It's also not picked up at all by the later Fastpath Managers that were developed by Shiva!

The KFPS-1 also seems to be more closely related to the original SEAGATE adapter than the later Shiva KFPS-4 and KFPS-5, but it seems any settings were baked into the firmware, rather than this external manager software.

If you just happen to have the original management software on a disk somewhere, or buried in an archive - please let me know!

The source code to the original SEAGATE KIP routers is out there. The latest version was dated 1988 and just added EtherTalk Phase 1 support. I think they were administered with a UNIX program (the "AppleTalk Adminstrative Daemon"), not anything on the Mac. Even if you get it working, I don't think these can run K-STAR and support EtherTalk Phase 2. These early routers weren't even designed to run EtherTalk Phase 1 originally. It was all TCP/IP on the Ethernet side running IPTalk aka AppleTalk-over-UDP.

I'd be surprised if I were even the fifth implementation, tbh - it's such an obviously easy and sensible way to do it. You say mine is easier - and in a home network that is true - but I doubt the kind of corporate network that would have had a FastPath on it would these days be particularly keen on un-policed multicast sloshing about in quantity, so, perhaps in the kind of situation the FastPath was designed for, this would be less true even now.

Since this post will likely draw the right crowd, if anyone wants to trade Fastpath 10Base-2 modules for 10Base-T modules, please let me know

I fell into a rackmount version but both sets have 10Base-2 which is not something I want to set up "just because".
