In my town there's this nifty little junk shop thats just overflowing with junk. Old furniture, old electrical appliances, car parts, you name it, this guy's got it. Anyway, the shop is closing down and has kinda gone into an "extended garage sale" type thing until all the stuff is gone. Everything's open for offers. never been there in my life before, so I thought I'd go and have a look.
I asked about computer stuff. The guy said he had none. So I'm looking around the shop, and I see an AppleService box. Just a plain cardboard box that has a sticker on it saying, "Apple Service", with smaller text saying that it contained a Macintosh CRT, 076-0103. I opened it, and thats exactly what it had. Didn't see what brand it was, but its an 076-0103, suitable for use with the Macintosh 128k, 512k, 512ke, Plus, SE, SE/30 and Classic, with Connector Type A, as Scott's FAQ advises. The box has been opened, but for all intents and purposes, it looks like a brand new CRT.
I don't really need a CRT at the moment, but I figure it might be a handy item to have around in case one gets broken, not to mention the importance of keeping an item like this in circulation. The guy has absolutely no idea that its a computer part, so I think its something I need to take into consideration. What would you offer for it, if you were thinking of buying it?
