MIT Swap Fest

A couple of days ago at the MIT Swap Fest I bought-

a New in box 68040 LC/LC II/Color Classic upgrade card-$5

An OrangPC 233mhz Pentium MMX Windows Compatibility card(in box) with a copy of Win 95 and Win NT(in box)-$20

The Orange PC is sitting in my G3 All in One and works wonderfully with Win 95(haven't tried NT yet)...now the real question is, what should I do with a 233mhz Pentium

It's a Sonnet Presto 040 25mhz

I also forgot to write that I got 2 802.11b PCMCIA linksys cards for 3 bucks each.

Decent deal on the sonnet card.

I love the OrangePC Nubus PC cards, the only PCI one I have is the Apple P166 version, and the DOS card for the 6100 (PDS).

Did they have alot of older Mac stuff there? Any old PC stuff?

Just curious to see if the real old stuff is still around.

The MIT swap is wonderfully random. As time passes, less of the old stuff shows up (as is inevitable), but every so often, someone appears with a truckload of treasure. The last time I was there (a couple of years ago) I picked up a box of prototype game cartridges for the VIC-20 from someone who was a failed game developer for that platform. These carts never made it into volume production -- they finished development just as the C-64 hit store shelves.

It's fantasdtic that you found the Orange PC card with the software - that is exceedingly hard to find online, which is why I have passed up on those cards in the past. The Mac Driver Museum site would love an image I'm sure.

i got my hands on images of the orange PC software install disks, i found them online. i can supply the link if it still works.

i cant get my orance PC to work, maybe its the wrong Ram that i put into it or maybe it dont like my Digital audio or Yikes system that i put it in, i have herd of a issue between the orange PC and a G4 system.

i got the orange micro PC 660 but with no driver software. the images i got dont seem to make it work, so i am hoping i have the wrong ram in it or that i am running into a compatability issue between the Mac and the card.

The software that I have Windows 95 Easy Install V 2.2. If anyone wants it, PM me or email me at tom@torbar.net and I'll rip it and send it to you.

It has Win 95 pre-installed and all you need to do is enter a Win 95 License key.
