FYI - They are the same. I have a Sharp Cable going to my Toshiba display on my PowerBook 540c PPC. Oh and my screen is glossy and a Toshiba.Other than the names, are they actually different? Or is it the same cable with two different names on it?
Well that’s exciting - so that means I can replace a broken Toshiba LTM09C017 with a Sharp LQ94D041 (which seems to be more readily available) and use the same cable to the LCD? The connectors do look the same in photos.FYI - They are the same. I have a Sharp Cable going to my Toshiba display on my PowerBook 540c PPC. Oh and my screen is glossy and a Toshiba.
Thanks - good point.Be warned that the sharp panel for these has a bunch of caps on it and the Toshiba doesn’t. You’re in for a recapping job, should you buy a sharp replacement.
I don’t think anyone has been scammed buying one of these LCDs - one guy got sent the wrong panel once, but that seemed like an honest mistake. I haven’t ever done so myself though.
I’ve made an offer of US$100 on the Sharp panel (asking price US$138) which I think is fair, as @AEChadwick paid US$80 for it as far as I can tell![]()
Thankshey, i'm happy to be part of the team. the $80 LQ94D041 was from china (some kind of New Old Stock); i got the eBay LQ94D041 for like $25 (that one came with a cable taped to it, obviously a pull from a nice person that didn't fall for eBay’s "automatic" pricing scam).
