Macintosh II, Logic Board 820-0163-03 630-0140 SIM SIMM Memory Slot Connecter Replacements?

MAC007

Hi all, this is my first post. I just joined. :)

I am looking to replace the SIM SIMM Memory slots connectors on this 820-0163-03 Logic Board. Someone broke them :( and I really want to restore this Logic Board instead of turning it into a donor.

I found this site and I think this is what I need.

Can anyone confirm for me or recommend where to get replacement slots/connectors.

Pictures attached are the Logic Board I will be restoring. I hope I can source new slots/connectors rather them pulling them from another Logic Board.

Those should work. I used them on a different mac (LCII?) and they were a perfect replacement. I believe all Macs, including the Mac II, have the same spacing on their dual 30 pin slots. PE is probably the best vendor for these parts.

Keep in mind those are angled connectors so you would need to replace all simm slots. Also, verify the spacing between rows is correct. There are dual slot sockets out there which have different spacing from what the Macs used.

Honestly, even if for some reason the spacing is wrong, I would just cut them apart. The single slots from PE are much more expensive.

I want to say thank you for the replies I got back when I wrote this up!
I also want to follow up, finally, because I got back to this project just a couple weeks ago.

Nobody realized but the pictures I posted initially, that board did not have any broken memory connectors. I mixed up the boards I had here for repair...
Here is the board with the broken memory connectors. Every clip is broke!!

I pulled these memory connectors from a donor IIci Logic Board. (don't worry, this IIci was way beyond saving!)

Removal of the broken memory connectors...
This was my first time changing memory connectors, please don't bash me, I learned a few things, and the next time, I am sure they will come out even better. The only mishap I had was scratching the Logic Board under the connectors, (from prying out the broken ones), I am very disappointed about that!

This is the completed results. The memory seats perfectly. I am very happy I saved this Logic Board and the way it came out!

I also did a full recap and installed new PRAM batteries. You can see that it is on and seeing all the memory.

It's now a Happy Mac! :)

Basically the IIci memory connectors were a perfect replacement for this Logic Board. Made it look original like nothing ever happened.

I was going to order some connectors but I was having my doubts. If I did this again, I would order the single memory connectors: https://www.peconnectors.com/sockets-pga-cpu-and-memory/hws4323/

Ya'll can close/ mark this thread as resolved. Thanks for everyone that helped.
