Looking for Shareway IP

Hello. I have been looking all over the internet for a copy or way to purchase the shareway IP software, specifically Shareway IP Standard edition, but I haven't been able to find it anywhere. On the shareway website there is an option to download an evaluation or purchase but the links appear to be broken, and I can't find any other website that is hosting it.

I want this software to try and network my OS9 machine to my OS10 Tiger computer and use AFP to share files. I know there are easier way to share files, but I'd like to try and keep afp consistency with all my computers. If there is another way to link them using AFP I'd love to hear that.

Thanks!

Looking at the table over at applefool.com you might be able to use AppleShare IP that they've got over at the garden for what you want.

I feel like OS9 has the ability to talk to Tiger using AFP over TCP without extra software though.  AppleShare IP just lets the older OS7&8 machines do it and the same goes for Shareway IP.

Thanks guys! The only link that worked was the pro 2.0 but that works for me, none of my macs wanted to read the 3.0 archives.

If you follow instructions at system7today, a machine running 7.6.1 can connect to at least as high as X.5, though using the IP address, obviously.

Having said that, it would be helpful if the OP could let us know how he gets on with SharewayIP, as a medium between recent OSX versions and a share on an old Mac. I haven't tried it for years. Does it still work?

Today I was thinking about this post and decided to see if memory served me correct.  YES you can connect OS X up through 10.6 to OS9 without ANY EXTRA SOFTWARE.  I just connected my Snow Leopard machine to my PowerBook G3 and neither have anything special installed on then.  The standard system software AFP server just works.

Note:  The "Enable File Sharing clients to connect over TCP/IP" check mark must be checked in the File Sharing control panel on the OS9 machine.  Also you must use: Go>Connect to Sever... or <command>+K on the OSX machine to connect to the IP address of the OS9 machine as it doesn't just show up.

Likewise the connection the opposite direction works as well.
