Look what the Easter bunny brought

To go with my 1985 system, which at the moment is a 512K, a LaserWriter Plus waiting to be fixed and MacWrite on 400K floppy, I present what I think v1.2 of Aldus PageMaker.


These last two pictures are of a Macally 6-port FireWire card. I had never seen one before and bought it immediately. One can never have too many FW ports.
It will have to go into the Quicksilver for now, at least until some one develops a serial-to-PCI adaptor & FW drivers for System 1 so that I can try out it out on the Mac 512K.

Even lower level - it makes a record of the flux transitions on the disk.

I don't think I've ever seen a license agreement seal on a floppy disk shutter before! Surely that would cause issues by either the user breaking the shutter while removing the sticker, or by sticking the disk into a drive with the sticker still attached...

The GreaseWeazle is less specifically tuned for Apple disks, but is what I have. One of our members did the PCB layout for the common variants. They cost about £25 delivered in the UK, you then need a PC floppy drive and cable. Sometimes you have to try a couple of different drives to find one that is good at Mac disks.
