It's my favorite storage medium. I have a Fujitsu 2.3GB 3.5" MO drive on my IIci. I use it for all my backups. The disks are so cool.
I used to have mint-in-box Sony SCSI MiniDisc drive that could use data discs and audio discs. I think I sold it to someone on here. The smaller discs were cool, but the MO drive just won it over for me. They also seem to be more common than the data version of the MiniDisc.
I Googled it and one of your videos popped up, so apparently you already gave that a go.
I have an iPhone 6 so I don't think I can run iOS 13, otherwise I would've tried it with both a Sony or MacAlly USB floppy drive. See if one of the fancier ones work.
Did you watch the end of the MO Disk video I posted above? I break down what USB subclasses work with the iPhone. The UFI, or Universal Floppy Interface subclass, doesn't seem to work. Neither does the optical media subclass. I've learned a bit more about USB Mass Storage since I started making these video this past summer.
