I need the name of a SCSI adapter

Enclosed is a photo of the back of my SCSI CD- reader.  A cable and adapters go from it's "out" port and plug into the back of my Color Classic.

I am buying a SCSI burner/reader.  I guess I plug the SCSI burner/reader into the "IN" SCSI port on my SCSI reader.

The number selected on the CD reader I have now says 4.

The seller has no photos of the cable or plug.  If they do not match up, I need to buy an adapter.

What is the name of SCSI plug located on the back of the CD reader?  In photo # 2 you can see the SCSI plug that plugs into it.

Thanks everyone.

What blitter said.

And because it is '68' it is wide SCSI. Narrow SCSI is 50 pins. You'll need a narrow to wide adapter. Your first photo suggests you already have one. That cable assembly looks like a DB25 to HD50 adapter connected to an HD50 to HD50 cable connected to an HD50 to HD68 adapter.

Unless the drive mechanism inside that case has Termination activated, you will need to get an HD68 SCSI terminator and put it on the unused port on that drive enclosure.

Thanks Trag....  I have a SCSI CD writter coming in the mail.  It has a cable but unsure what kind.  Thought best to learn the different names of connectors so I can figure out what to buy if nothing plugs together.

Finkmac - Sam works for me.... :)
