Holy of Holies -- Quadra 840AV!

I did get it, and it looks great. Not a lot of yellowing, either. Shipped in an original Power Mac 8100/80 box with styrofoam. Kinda neat to have that, too. The floppy drive bezel was taped on, since the little tabs on the bezel were broken on one side. The bottom blank drive bay bezel was also taped on for the same reason. The CD-ROM *is* there, but it's clear to me now why I couldn't see it in the pictures. The drive is in the top bay, of course, but it was covered by a blank bezel. When I tried to take it off, I discovered that it was literally screwed into the front of the CD tray, so when the tray would open, the bezel would come open with it. Unfortunately I tugged a little too hard before I realized this and it broke off, so now all three bezels are sitting on the desk. :scrambled:

There used to be a card in it, and I think it was part of an Avid system, because the seller was selling an Avid system seperately on eBay at the time. So I doubt there's any special card in there now. When I get some time this weekend, I'll take some pics and try out the new RAM.

ISTR that you shouldn't mix EDO and FPM RAM in one machine: can't recall if that's "no boot" bad, or "escaping magic smoke" bad.
