Getting started with an incomplete Performa 6100

Thanks guys,

Once I get video, I will continue to storage.

The PRAM battery seems OK, but of course, I don't have a video connector yet.

Not too sure at this point that I will want to network it, but I do want to get it running.

I have 2 options for drives, a 4G and an 18G, both 68 pin, as well as an old SCSI card that will allow me to test these drives in my PC.

I also have some cables, both 50 pin and 68 pin and I might try to crimp on two 50 pin connectors on a 68 pin cable, one for the mobo connection and the other for the CD.

That is, if I can't get a cheap adapter. They do exist, 50 pin male to 68 pin male, not cheap, but available.

Then there's the issue of termination, but I will cross that bridge when I get there.

Update

Step one is complete, I finished the HDI-45 to VGA adapter and I now have video.

Step two is to find a set of ADB keyboard and mouse without breaking the bank.

Online prices are insane, at least what I found so far.

I will try locally, maybe I can find some stuff for less.

I even found some nut jobs like myself that have built ADB converters to use modern peripherals on the ADB.

That might be another avenue.
