FPU for IIsi and ethernet card for LC475

First, excuse me for dragging that LC in here, but it's basically a Centris 605.

I have, at a friends house, a nubus adapter for my IIsi. As far as i know one can pop in a math processor like this into the adapter, thus giving the IIsi a FPU. Right?

I also have a PDS ethernet card in my LC475. The card is a MCiLC with 10Base2 coax ethernet and i don't even know if it works in LC475. The ethernet card has a socket for a 68882, would it make a difference for the LC475 if i added one?

How about the Mac Classic, is there a socket on the board for the FPU?

Should i get a fistful 68882 chips or just ignore the offer?

Correct on the IIsi. On the LC475, better to just get a real '040, though the '882 should work in theory (I don't know how the 68882 in that ENet card is connected to the bus, however).

My understanding is that there is already an FPU soldered onto the IIsi Nubus adapter -- there is certainly one on all of mine (I have two or maybe three of them here somewhere).

Also, as far as I know, a 68882 FPU won't work with a 68LC040.

You won't be able to use the 68882 on your LC475. The card itself will work fine, but the FPU won't.

As for the Classic, while there was a (rare) 68882 card available for the Classic II, there was never an FPU upgrade for any of the 68000 Macs.

Thanks guys, you are the best.

Turns out i don't have a socket on my IIsi Nubus adapter, it's soldered on. Great, saves me a few euro-bucks! |)

I'll skip the offer then, since neither Classic nor LC475 would benefit.

Well. Maybe one, for the archives. You never know.

Anyone interested in pictures of the IIsi and C610 Nubus adapter? I have them here and could post some tomorrow.
