External ZuluSCSI and SCSI2D collides with chassi

Don’t know if anyone else has had the same problem, but my external Zuluscsi (same case as external SCSI2D) does not fit all computers. In my case there was a collision on the IIci. Since I’m fairly handy with CAD these days and also have several printers, I decided to draw and print a new lid so it can be used also on the IIci (and maybe some other computers with the same problem). Happy to share the stl if someone is interested.7481B212-213E-47F1-B843-40231B2A5F2A.jpegBA03BB2E-AA95-4C91-B7D7-0A37CA29770E.jpeg8EBA1A27-FC98-4320-9A6E-D653787D65AD.jpegEA7D49FF-72ED-418C-87FA-76F154EC982E.jpeg

Remove the bottom part of the case and it will then fit. That will leave some pins exposed so just be careful with it. Thats how I’ve been using my external SCSI2SD for a while now. Your modified solution is a good idea :)

Yeah, that was my initial idea, just get rid of the case, without it fits, but the engineer inside me needed a more safe solution ☺️

I think you can just use one of these :

No, I don't know why they exist either :ROFLMAO:
To make your cables fit together ;)

I've used a *Parallel SCSI zip drive for not having had one of these handy in an instance or two.

Edit: I remembered the SCSI version is F-F, long time ago now. This wasn’t recommended really and probably has caveats, but it was free ewaste at the time

That's neat!

I did a similar tweak for the BlueSCSI's external version as it wouldn't fit into my IIcx's chassis. (This is now available at the github as a remix-version of the original case). I do like the look of how the Mac ports are recessed but sometimes it gets tricky even with just thicker connectors, not to mention these plug-in devices.

This is what I did. 1 or 2x straight through gender changes attached to my older 25pin SCSI2SD did the trick.
