Does Mac SE/30 only work with external Superdrives?

Internal is fine, but trying to run an external 800K drive is not recognized, does that sound correct? Thanks.

Doesn’t sound right to me. I thought an external 800k would be recognized as such?

Do you have any other machines to test the drive with?

works on an SE just fine.

External 800k drives work as such on all machines with an external floppy port.
