Craig's list haul

The local Craig's list finally had something good on it. A former Apple dealer advertised a bunch of vintage Mac stuff, so I went to look today. Amazing! Probably two truckloads of stuff; everything from a B&W G3 to shelves of boxed software (Final Cut Pro, for example) tp boxes of floppies.

I came away with a 7300/180 with 120MB, two HD's, keyboard and mouse, and an Apple monitor. A 16/1600 Laser printer with manual, another laser printer, a couple of boxes of cables, video adapters, PCI cards, SCSI odds and ends, etc. And some of the boxed software.

I can't justify adding any more to the clutter already in the shop or I would have filled my pickup. And sorry folks, this is local pickup only, and not free.

I would be willing to go pick things up for people but unfortunately he doesn't want to piece it out anymore. It's take the entire mess or nothing.

No big deal for me, FCP 2 is all over the place. Did he have anything rare?

I don't blame you for not taking the whole thing, its hard getting rid of stuff you don't need.

The LaserWriter 8500 would probably take the "best printer" title, although 16/600s were pretty good too.

The main problem with the latter is that pretty much every single one of them you find will need the rollers replaced by now. Not as long-lasting as LaserJets!
