13W3 Video Adapter Source

I have an apple monochrome two page display. I don't know if it is functional.

Does anyone have suggestions for where I might get a 13W3 to 15 pin dsub adapter for a reasonable price (I'm UK based).

I could make one, but I'd like a neater looking solution than that will be.

Sadly spotty tablecloth seems to have control of the cable market these days.

I have 13W3W to Mac 15 pin cable that didn't work with the Portrait but you can try it with two page display ... give me yours address and I can ship it to you. Maybe first you can check if the portrait shares the same pin values as two page monitor?

Unfortunately these are all to VGA, plus I think... if I remember correctly, the sun cables are wired differently and don't work. Option 3 would be the best bet, but would get you to the wrong connector on the computer end and need another adapter. Its £35 for sort of the wrong cable... but could be made to work. I've considered getting one and replacing the end on it.

Thank you - I'm curisous why it didn't work. I'll drop you a message. My concern is that I think they're both the same pinout for the black and white versions. At least I thought they were. I might be able to beep it out and work out what is going on though.

I have learnt something.
When you said 15-pin dsub, you meant the DA-15 plugs used in Macintosh video rather than the DE-15s used commonly in VGA cables.
It's good to know about the Sun cables. I have an Apple Portrait monitor without a cable and I had been looking at the Sun cables.
I've had good experiences with old Sun hardware with my Macs in the past.

hard to say... definitely not original Apple, look like 3rd party, but could be for Apple, SUN, SGI, ??

Are they needed? Probably not - I think it was only the 2 page and Portrait [Apple] monitors that used the 13w3 connector?

Missing Horizontal Sync and Sense pins I think?

I have the universal cable with the dip switches. I bought to use with my GX 1600. It doesn't work very well. It shows the wrong colors on first boot, then works fine when restarted. Dunno if it's the same cable as the one above, but it looks like very similar.
