Hello MLAers! We've re-enabled auto-approval for accounts. If you are still waiting on account approval, please check this thread for more information.
If you find one of the classics is non-functional, I could use a new case. My friend bought me a classic off of eBay for Christmas, and it's beyond repair cosmetically.
They're still in my garage. All the SE/30s have been examined and most of them have been repaired, likewise with a few of the 512ks. josefl710's built a bunch of SCSI2SD boards and we're finishing setting those up. Ran into a mounting issue, so I'll be 3D printing some of bbraun's SCSI2SD mounting brackets sometime this week.
It's slow going because of life/work/transporation, but we're nearly there with our first SE/30 about to go on the market.
I'm certain we'll have a fire sale on parts once we're done. For certain there'll be machines that can't be or not worth resurrecting, and those can be parted out. Keyboards, cases, hard drives, etc.
The more folks looking, the better. It increases the chances that someone will find one and show it to the others.
I still kick myself for letting an offer to sell me three of them fall through in the mid-90s. On the other hand, I don't know if it was a legit offer. Perhaps it fell through because it was a scam.
trag, I just had to google it to even know what it was. Google pointed me to an old 68kmla page... where you were looking for one and discussing the three from the 90s. I hope you find one someday
