I recently got a 128k that could not boot at all. I was able to get the internal floppy to boot just fine now by fixing the actual drive but I cannot for the life of me fix the external DB19 port to read floppies via floppyemu.
- I am using a known working floppy emu.
-using a known working analog board from another system that boots fine using floppyemu
- when booting from floppyemu the system just hangs at the ?floppy icon on screen.
-when booting from internal floppy, and error keeps popping up that the drive needs initialized. This only happens when the floppyemu is connected. When it is not, and I boot from internal floppy I get no errors.
- I reflowed the WOZ disk controller chip.
- I completely replaced the DB19 port on the logic board.
-the 3 capacitors have been replaced.
What else can be done? Any and all advice is appreciated. I’d really like to get this working so I do not have to rely on the aging internal floppy drive.
this is also my first post of a long time lurker. Please be easy on me. I’m new to this type of work.
Thank you!
