I'm trying my hand at building a TT font, and decided to base my first one on the System 6 city font Toronto. The problem is I don't have a System 6 machine. I've found some good screenshots online but don't have the full character repertoire yet. If someone wouldn't mind taking a screen cap of the symbols and accented characters at 24pt and posting it somewhere, that would be great.

When I get a first draft, I intend to let all you guys try it out first.

First demo is available. Virtually nothing has been done w.r.t. hinting/tracking/kerning ... basically the letter shapes are there and that's it. It's also still missing some of the standard ASCII symbols, but OTOH it has a bunch of extended characters. (Total 599 characters.) That said, it's probably already as usable as Toronto was if not moreso.

Feedback appreciated, especially from those that have Toronto installed.

The version linked above is now version 0.5, which has fairly comprehensive kerning, and a fairly complete set of characters. There are a few things I think I'll still tweak, but not much unless I get feedback. I'm going to take a bit of a break from this, so please try it out and let me know what you think.

Thanks! Yeah...now I know how hard it is, even for a simple design like this one!

OK, it's been over a year, and since I have four font (and several non-font) projects in the works in my very, very, very limited spare time, this hasn't seen a ton of progress. But I wanted to post something so that anyone interested won't think it's totally dead. Up to 988 characters now. At least one more easter egg that wasn't in the last posted version. Feedback welcome.

I've decided to release another demo version of Brampton, a font I've been working on for over four years. Version 0.15 now. This limited release contains just over ⅙ of the characters in the development version, including few alphanumeric characters, but does contain quite a few punctuation symbols, dingbats, and over 45 national and subnational flags for use as regional indicator symbols.

If you have the previous version that included all the alphanumerics, you probably will want to make a backup of that before installing this one. I'm posting this one to a wider audience, since there are very few fonts with regional indicator symbols, and having them display properly in web pages is nice—but I'm not really ready to subject myself to the scrutiny yet. ;D
