I haven't seen it yet up close and personal, but only on racks in another room when I last visited, so I am just going by the advertised list at present. Probably later this week or at the weekend I'll pick it up and will take stock then.

I do know the seller and have a general sense on that basis that the stuff will a) be working (-ish), and B) should include some interesting bits and pieces. He is a good deal more knowledgeable than me and has some very good connections among local Apple users/ collectors, including the ITS folk at the main university in the city. So I am hopeful for some hidden goodies and golden oldies. And if not, then for $60, I can't have gone far wrong.

The story is that changed circumstances require that it all go quickly. And I am happy to oblige. Come to papa....

Insta-collection! Nicely done.
I'm looking forward to your further detailing of this haul. If there's a 660AV Nubus adapter in amongst all that, DIBS :rambo:
I already have one of these DAV-equipped adapters for the 660av, so if there is a duplicate, we can certainly work out a deal. I know that the seller was looking for one a couple of years ago (he wanted mine), so maybe he got lucky.

Wow! That is very impressive. Congratulations! I can't wait to hear about the hidden treasures you find.

But yeah, that beats my collection instantaneously.

Absolutely impressive! And all for $60...lucky! That 9500/180MP is extremely awesome cuz it's got the older processors...wonder if you can run BeOS or even Rhapsody on that?!

Anyhow, huge haul at a mere $60 is phenomenal, instant collection indeed =)

Sounds like a great haul!!! 8-o If you want to get rid of any Localtalk cables and accessories, A trackball, keyboard, or 1 or 2 SCSI hard drives, and are willing to ship to the US, let me know.

It transpires that the IIx, the Portable and the 660av are going to be held back. Ho hum.

I will be selling some things on, as I don't have room for it all.

Those are the models that are worth having too.

Lower the price.

Why?!

I hate when these deals go awry like this, they advertise something and then they pull it.

you MUST lower the price. That's just shady.

The explanation offered (with apologies) is fair and above board; items still included make the price agreeable. He'll probably say $50 on the day; I know the guy.

Married? Yes, married for about 20 years, but with a big enough house these days to hide it away in. As I say, however, I do not plan to keep all of it; of the items listed, I already have the following: G3 Tower, IIci, Q650 (but on the blink), IIsi, LCIII, LC475, LC575, 9500, MP 604e card @200MHz, SE FDHD.

So most of this new stuff will be sold on to others, though I will no doubt pick it over first. I had been most keenly interested in the Portable. That is the real regret. A IIx I can live without; I have a IIfx. And I have two 660av units already.

My main interest now is in the parts boxes, scsi drives, Nubus cards, the AV Monitor (always wanted one of those), etc. etc. Bring on the weekend!
