Interesting - where did you find this? Here it says 7 Pro was $150, which doesn't seem to match any of these prices https://apple.fandom.com/wiki/System_7.1.1

I'm also curious if you know why 7 Pro was cheaper than 7.1 here, since to my knowledge 7 Pro is just 7.1 + extra stuff

I got this from usenet messages dating back to August 1994. I found it in a google search of one of those part numbers. These are the prices for upgrading from those OS versions to 7.5. They are not the prices charged for those versions listed.

I've always wanted to get the 7 Pro Multipack CD-ROM.

I want all of them. LOL

I don't have the Upgrade kits or the CD-ROMs. Font Pack is on my website if you're curious about the contents.

Nice. Was 7.1 ever available as a full install retail box, or only as upgrade kits?

The System 7.1 “upgrade kit” was a full installer. It didn’t depend upon having a prior version already installed. Unlike most other operating systems of the time (Windows, MSDOS, OS/2 upgrades required a prior OS to exist on the hard disk).

The 7.1 Personal upgrade kit was sold at retail on a box. I have one. There was also a 7.1 update kit meant for people who purchased System 7.0, they could order it direct from Apple. I have one of them, too.

Is there a hard copy of Mac OS that you *don't* have?!?!

c

I'm missing the point versions of System 6, I only have 2 (or 3, can't recall). I'm missing System 7.1 Group Upgrade, and the System 7.5 Group Upgrade. I think these are also referred to by Apple as the "Multi-Pack" versions.

I only have one copy of 7.5, not both (there's a floppy disk version, and a CD-ROM version). I think there's two versions of Mac OS 9 out there, and I have one of them.

I basically only have US English versions, so I would be missing all of the localized retail boxed versions.

I do have raw/loose disks for some of the versions I am missing boxes for. I am fortunate to have A/UX 2.0.0 floppy disks, and a 2.0.1 CD-ROM, as well as two copies of the A/UX 3.0.0 CD-ROM, and a set of 3.0.1 CD and floppy installation disks.

I have every copy of the Apple Mac OS X Server versions, complete, except my 10.1 Server is missing the manual inside the box. To make it even more complete, I even have most of the NeXTStep and OpenStep installation media, along with one boxed copy of NeXTStep.

I have the complete Mac OS Anthology that Apple issued between 1999 and 2001.

I don't have any of the Lisa stuff, nor does it interest me.

I refer to my set of boxed copies as a reference set, as it's probably among the most complete that anyone (publicly) has.

No kidding! Your collection is very impressive, especially it's near completeness!

Do you have all/most of the media archived into ISOs and such for sharing?

Thank you. Nearly everything that I have is already online on various sites, yes. I'm planning to upload the ones that aren't eventually. One of those is the complete set of A/UX 3.x media that I have, some of which isn't properly archived, complete, or working.

Of course!

I know much of this already exists, but usually they're "modified" or they have issues that make them harder to use on real machines (stripped drivers on CD images, for example, renders them unbootable on real machines), or, in some cases (such as A/UX 3.x, as you mentioned), it's corrupted such that it's practically useless. It would therefore be nice to have unaltered reference images that are guaranteed to work anywhere the original media does.
