Sparc's

I've picked up a couple of Sun Microsystems workstations from a friend of mine.

1 is a SparcStation 2, and the other is a Sparc Ultra 5. The Ultra 5 has no hard disk, but everything else is there, including 64MB of RAM (The Ultra 5 also has a name! It's "Lyra", and it's clearly emblazoned on the top right corner of the bezel.)

The SparcStation 2 is intact, and even has an Apple Branded ProDrive LPS installed. I'm not sure how much RAM is installed, but the RAM slots are fully populated.

Unfortunately, I don't have a monitor for the SparcStation 2. Testing that will have to take place later.

Ulta 5's use standard IDE hard disks (I have that model, my only SUN). You can find SUN to VGA adapters on ebay cheap enough. Do you have the SUN type keyboards and optical mice with mirrored aluminum keypad?

The razor mirrors where earlier, i had one that came wth a Tatung SuperCompStation 10, a very loud and heavy and really powerful Sparcstation 10 clone. The Ultra 5? I didn't like it's design nor it's technology. I would sell it. The SS2 on the other hand is a nifty box :) .
