Hi all,
I've been testing a 50Mhz Bolle/Daystar PowerCache in my SE/30 (recapped LB, PSU, AB) and appear to have encountered incompatibility using an Apple OEM IIfx ROM alongside - wondered if anyone had similar issues or workarounds. The stock SE/30 ROM is working fine.
Under benchmarking load or fast moving graphics within 10 - 30 mins, after a while I'll encounter graphical corruption - blocks, glitches usually resulting in a freeze not long after. With reset, I can replicate the fault more quickly with the system at operating temp. I originally thought this was an overheating PowerCache, or something else marginal (hot PowerCache warming up something else on the LB eg. UE8 and surrounds). Bolle kindly assisted and I can rule this out having interchanged another SE/30 board and PSU (ATX conversion).
At this stage, I can run the stock SE/30 ROM for hours on end. I think I've another stock IIfx ROM I can find to trial.
Thanks
JB
