I have a pair of SE/30's, from the serial numbers one is Irish and the other is American, and I'd like to replace the capacitors on both. One did work occasionally, but now only shows simasi screen when I turn the on. The other, the American, still works - but the sound is very quiet (a sign of imminent failure, I understand).
My questions are: does anyone know a good source of replacement caps, and what do they recommend? And does anyone know a capable solderer in England who might be able to do the job for me? My soldering is fine for pin through hole - but these capacitors are way to small and fiddly for someone as butter-fingered as me!
I hope that you can help - I'd hate my little SE/30's to die. I've had one of them for nearly twenty years!
