PowerPC 601 Upgrade Card Software

Ok so I’ve been trying to test some apple branded PowerPC 601 cards in my Quadra 700. So far not much luck with the software. I have tried using this software from the garden https://macintoshgarden.org/apps/apple-power-macintosh-upgrade-card-installer-m2843lla

But partway through the install it asks me to swap in a “goodies” disk, which doesn’t seem to be part of the uploaded software.

What am I missing here? Is there better software I should use?

Yeah, it's on all System disks in the 7.5.3 to 8.1 era. Just install it from an OS disk.

Hmm ok guess I need to find a good disk then. Not sure if I have any retail disks in that range have a bunch of specialized system specific stuff not sure if it would work from those.

Did you solve it? I have the same issue with a Quadra 950, the install asks for a “goodies” disk. I tried with a clean 7.1.2 install as well, but it doesn’t want to boot in PPC-mode and complains the HD is an unsupported disk.

@macuserman I got it working with a “Goodies” disk from the 7.1.2 US version. I also learned that the “Power Macintosh Card” uses a different enabler with System 7.1.2, which is why my clean 7.1.2 install didn’t work.
