PowerBook NGE mod

While my formerly recycled PowerBook G4/500 is disassembled to JB Weld a broken hinge (it was easy to get the display apart, as most of the old adhesive had since lost its grip), I decided to mod it a little bit since the case is already far from perfect.

So, while musing about simply changing the color of the Apple logo from white to red or blue, I watched the new Revival of Evangelion movie (the first of three new movies). The new NERV logo is an apple with the old half fig leaf over it, which gave me the inspiration for this. Whaddaya think? It's not done yet, especially since the back case has another day or two before the epoxy dries, but it'll be pretty cool when it's finished.

I want to do a more involved mod on an iBook G3, but it may involve actually painting the NERV logo on there. Plus, I'd need to get another iBook G3 to try it on, as I've already painted up the other two that I have.

Nice... I am a HUGE Evangelion fan and have posters all over my walls pertaining to the series.

I am trying to track down the "The Rebuild of Evangelion" and think I found a copy on the net. As soon it comes to the USA, I will be snapping up the DVDs. I just can't WAIT for it to come.

Anyways, cool mod. I use the logo as a background wallpaper on my PowerMac 7500 that was upgraded to a G4 400Mhz. Works great :D
