After a few years I took out this beautiful Powerbook again. Of course it didn't work, even with a second power supply. After many resets it booted up, but with video problems.
First of all, I replaced the pram battery with a new self-made one. Now it starts every time when I press the reset button on the back (only this way).
However, there are always video disruptions that last until the first system extensions are loaded shortly afterwards. Then the video promlems disappear until I shut the Powerbook off later. So it's usable the whole time.
With one exception: when I open the sound control panel, the image disturbances start again and remain even when I close the control panel.
Same when I try to play music.
However, when I start the Pyro screen saver, the errors disappear and the PB behaves normally.
Does anyone have an idea where the problems could be searched?
