My PB180c shows a white bar on the upper lower half of the display. Before I start with recapping: Any ideas what could cause this? I received it like this, haven't opened it, yet.IMG20230625153215.jpg

Recap the display itself. They can be a bit of a train wreck with cap goo which can damage the display ribbon contacts. With any luck a recap and cleaning and you are good to go. Worst case, there is too much corrosion.

That symptom is almost always caused by corrosion damage to the LCD’s internal ribbons, or one or more failed driver ICs which are directly mounted onto the ribbons. It’s likely unfixable unfortunately, you’ll have to see once you get it but prepare for the worst.
