I got my PowerBook 180 in the mail yesterday and opened it up as I noticed the trackball needed cleaning. Inside I found two stickers from previous repairs in '93 and a bunch of ancient battery acid stuck to the case, which I scraped away using an X-Acto knife.
There's at least one bodge here- looks like the FPC cable for the battery thermistor was torn at one point and fixed by soldering wires to the remaining cable. I removed the unnecessary remnant of the FPC so it won't catch on the daughterboard.
I'm curious to know what repair shop or chain worked on this machine previously.
