PowerBook 150: Boot/disk issue

Hi,

When I try to boot my PowerBook 150, I get a 0000000F 00000001 error. After removing the IDE harddisk, I get a weird looking error message on screen, when booting (see picture 1).

When I try to use MacDrive program to read harddisk, I get a inconsistent error (se picure 2).

Is the harddisk gone for ever or are there any way to recover data from the harddisk?

Regards

Does the hard disk properly initialize? If it's a Quantum GoDrive/Daytona/Europa then it's toast - those have rubber bumpers inside that melt and get the heads stuck. It's also likely it wouldn't read on a USB adapter anyway.

The display corruption could be due to corrosion damage from a leaking PRAM battery - the 150 used a 2-cell NiMH Varta battery for this, soldered to the interconnect board. Remove it ASAP.
