I just received a PowerBook 145B I bought that came with a Finnish System 7.1 install on it. Since I can't read Finnish, I dragged a System/Finder 7.1 set from a clean install of 7.1 (off 1.44MB floppies) onto the HD, and it booted as expected with English as the language.
However, it is only seeing 4MB of the 8MB installed in the 145B. On the Finnish install, it showed "internal memory 4096, total memory 8192" and on the English install it showed "internal memory 4096" only.
So I reinstalled 7.1 off English floppies, choosing the PowerBook 140/145 option. Still only 4096 shown.
How do I get that other 4MB addressed? What does "internal" vs "total" memory denote?
