Power Macintosh 8600

About a month ago my old 7600 decided it was time to die, so I began my search for another PCI based Power Macintosh to replace it. Luckily a fellow member of our local user group was generous enough to donate an 8600/200 to me. I just got it, and to my surprise it came in the original box with manuals, CDs, and peripherals. Also gave me a perfectly functional LaserWriter 4/600 in the box with discs and manuals. Probably my favorite part is the retail Mac OS 7.6.1 CD that came with everything. I've never had 7.6 before, so this is a treat. Once I got all the parts from the dead 7600 installed, the 8600 has the following specs:

303MHz (it was 333MHz in the 7600)

480MB of RAM

9GB SCSI drive

FireWire and USB PCI cards

TwinTurbo iX graphics card.

Sounds like an awesome machine. I've always wanted to get one of those old Tower Macs. I have a G4 but it isn't quite the same. :p

Which version of Mac OS are you running on it?

Its running 9.1 on that 9GB drive from my 7600. I use the machine for converting analog video from VHS to quicktime format using BTV Pro and the built in video ports. The 2GB drive that was in it had 7.6.1 installed, so I may dual boot it sometime.
