Overclocked QuickSilver

I bought a 933MHz QuickSilver from a friend that I tought is 2002 version. What I found out is that is a 733MHz 2001 version overclocked. So I made a resaarch and found this site http://powermac-g4.com/g4quicksilverclockup.html

well mine is overclocked from 733 to 933, for now works ok, running Tiger and Leopard and scores from 23 - 26 points on XBench http://www.xbench.com/.

picture of mine overclocked processor card http://shrani.si/f/Z/VB/mNCcrzs/-1.jpg

Anybody else with overclocked QuickSilver here? I can not check the heat as there are no temp. sensors on this machines.

That's a pretty good overclock, those G4's run fairly warm, something that may not be apparent if you haven't really pushed the machine. It would probably be worth removing the heat sink and applying some good quality thermal paste and (if you have space) stick in a PCI slot fan for some extra cooling.

The QS had some wonky cooling that was loads better then the graphite models so, maybe the cooling system will work fine.
