Interesting, thank you Bolle. We could do with a few more like this one for the collection. Ethernet makes it a lot easier to move things between old and new machines.
Hey Phipli,
Have the same NuBus card but I didn't manage to make it works with RJ45 (twisted pair), even though I followed the documentation... Could kindly please share your jumpers settings?
Thanks.

Is there a list somewhere of the the rj45 nubus ethernet card options? This is something I've been wanting to pickup but haven't been sure which ones to look for.
I've reinstalled a fresh copy of Mac OS 7.6 with the ethernet option. I can get the MAC address of the card but the led D1 is off, according to the doc: "Twisted pair network connection is broken". I'll give a try again to the jumpers!
Probably something you've already considered, but you've checked the cable, and specifically that the context you're using this in doesn't require a crossover?
With these settings, my card works fine. Note there can be all sorts of issues getting old machines on networks. Various speed negotiation and DHCP issues etc. Its a read the whole internet if you're having issues thing.
Thank you very much Phipli! It works fine finally with this configuration of jumpers, the Mac IIci is now up and running. My mistake was to set all jumpers JP3-JP10 down.
Thanks for your help and greetings from Switzerland
