Hi fellow soldiers!
Is there something special that I may miss in my attempt to share files between my Plus and my PowerBook 1400 (general purpose, inter-generational bridge machine)?
I mean, I haven't played a lot with my Plus since I got it, because I tend to prefer my old and faithful SE for sentimental reasons. But I wanted to try our new toy browser6 on the Plus, so I hooked it up to the 1400 with a serial cable, but they can't see each other.
What bugs me is that I use the exact same setup than with the SE. Actually, I even used a clone of my SE's HD with System 6.0.7 on the Plus' external HD, because I previously only had a Sys 5.x on it.
So, since the Plus is the compact Mac I have the lowest knowledge of, my question is: is it able to do filesharing that way?
The setup and network software I used are well known to work on several other slightly younger machines, by the way (SE, Classic, IIcx).
