Mac 128K with Signature on the outside!

I love this picture. Now that's a 128K Mac that's actually worth something! The signature looks fantastic like that. Makes me wonder why we haven't seen a Steve Jobs' "signature" line. Oh I forgot, it's all the Steve Jobs' signature line.

Imagine what a 128K Mac with the design team's signatures all over the outside would be worth (bet it would look pretty sweet too). Sadly, it would no longer be possible to attain due to Jeff Raskin's premature death.

like this one, Bruce Damer's Mac signed by Woz

and these Mac Plus, where Steve Jobs signed too

well I like to get some original signs but not on real hardware, rather on books only ...

Great photos. I wonder which came first the Mannock or the Woz. Unfortunately Woz had very little to do with the Macintosh. In my opinion, only Mannock or Jobs deserve the front spot, with the posible exception of Raskin.

Except that it is the Plus, which Jobs likely had little to do with. It looks like the author of that picture felt the same way as you having them sign the bottom only. But he would have a hard time using that as a photo prop if the case were signed on the front and sides.

I understand your hesitation to "ruin" the hardware but it would definitely be the centerpiece of any collection.

I used to have a IIgs "woz edition" with the signature on the front of the case. Not hand drawn of course, but still neat.

Woz was visiting DigiBarn on Dec of 2006 anyway Bruce met him many times before ...

The original Mac has Woz's signature and as Andy Hertzfeld said in Welcome to Macintosh documentary; "The Macintosh spirit was not something we created with Macintosh although we sort of contributed to it, but it was there before the Macintosh, because it's really the spirit of the Apple II and so much of spirit of Apple II is the spirit of Steve Wozniak's personality as well as Steve Jobs is"

I wouldn't really agree that the spirit of the Mac is anything like the spirit of the Apple II. Maybe you could claim that they both tried to make computing more ubiquitous.
