Install Linux on my Performa 6400

NetBSD might be the best supported and easiest installation. Ignore the older how tos and read the installstion docs that come with the latest distro.

I think I can likely come up with more than 32mb for you, btw. What do you have now? Two 16mb dimms?

I don't know, it actually cam with the Ram second hand, I might be able to figure it out if I opened it up. I also read somewhere that you can make your own ram disk from inside an installer. I will have to see if I can make one small enough.

Puppy Linux is great but I had trouble running on it on an x86 machine with 32 MB of ram, so I don't think it would work well on my Mac(Live CD need a lot of ram), unforchently DSL does not run on PPC :( .

OK I have one 32 MB DIMM and one unlabelled I imagine it's 8 MB since 32 + 8 + 8 = 48 and apparently the 6400 comes with 8 MB of RAM on the motherboard.
