All in all there's 27 in total.

A SE, a SE, a Plus, a Se (no mobo), a Classic, a Se (orange :&lt, a M0001 (dosent have a name), a Classic, a Classic (cracked case), a Classic 2 (also cracked), a Plus, a Plus (cracked), a SE (with some vintage apple stickers ), a SE (cracked), a SE (mint), a SE FDHD, a Classic, a Classic 2 (with Japanese lettering, will look into this one later), a SE, a SE (cracked handle), a SE (with a 33MHZ EXTREMEEEEE accelerator } ), a Color Classic (fan grate is broken, and its covered in cat stickers), a Classic (owned by the Camden BOE, bolted to a giant metal plate), a Plus, a Se/30 (case is completely trashed, electronics are solid), a SE, and a Classic.

Now to find somewhere to store these. If anyone wants to tally up the individual models be my guest. :approve:

Ironically while some of the outsides all look like trash, the insides have been immaculate (so far), the SE I just opened has a brand new CRT

Cat stickers are all faded sadly, the orange mac is honestly the darkest shade of yellowing I've ever seen. I'll post pics of the japanese one tomorrow.

I'm most likely going to sell all the dupes, and all the SEs other than the FDHD one. Case and mobo cleaning & will get power chords for all. Shipping might be a issue :-/ .

Best way I've found for writing old 400K and 800K Mac and Lisa disks is with a 90s Mac.  I keep a Wallstreet PowerBook around for that purpose.  IIRC OS 9 will even still ask you whether you want to format single or double sided when you insert a double density floppy.

A Floppy Emu is pretty nice to make 400k disks, too... Just load it up with disk images and use Copy II Mac 5.2 to write the images to floppy.

I'm also very curious about OrangeMac, NipponMac, and NekoMac!

Weekly Update:

So NipponMac is actually Chinese/Taiwanese , will get to that later.

Got the accelerator in the Se working today, and fixed up the FDHD Se, and put the accelerator in that. I did some quick benchmarks:

I guess because of the lack of ram and a FPU it dosen't really feel as fast as a Se/30, but its pretty close.

After those two was the classic 2, which had this posted on the front:



which when cleaned and booted had a ton of files on it. Looks like it was a guy's workstation and BBS box. The only thing wrong with it is that the floppy drive won't eject, and it isnt fixed after I oiled and cleaned it, if anyone knows what's up, post a reply.

Slap in some RAM and an FPU and that accelerator will pick up some speed. That is supposed to be a 50MHz 030? That should a lot faster than just 4X the speed of a SE. the 030 @ 16MHz in the SE\30 is a bit more than just 4X. 50MHz is supposed to be 16X or faster than the speed of an SE.

The accell has ram, but the dash dosen't show how much, so I don't know if its being used :c . There's also some memory timing switches, don't know how to configure w/o the manual,

I think you did darn well for $200! Nice bunch of goodies in there. Nice save too-- a lot of that was sketchy looking and might've been junked, but if you can put a bunch of nice machines together, which it seems you will, that's nice investment. That accelerator is pretty neat! It's cool you got it going.

Even at 33MHz it should be between 8X to 12X faster than a standard SE. What the test shows is that it is 4X faster.

You need to play with the switches until it is set correctly and without an FPU your math routines (Drystones and Whetstones) tests will always be slower. The FPU is not needed for everything but in such tests it does.

It is a great thing to have and I wish you the best with it. Long ago I had a 25MHz '020 accelerator in an SE with an FPU, it was wickedly fast.

I thought so.

The FPU you are looking for is the 68882. It needs to match the MHz of the 68030 on your accelerator board. And you need to match it with what socket your accelerator has - pins on the bottom of the FPU (PGA) or pins around the FPU's case (PLCC). See:

If you've cleaned the floppy drive and the carriage moves freely now when you manually insert/remove a floppy, the problem is probably in the eject motor.  One of the gears in these likes to strip out on occasion, if you remove the eject motor assembly and take off the metal plate on the bottom of it you can examine the gears.
