Freecycle liberation!

Tell 'em it's a monitor. Works surprisingly well for non-tech-inclined parents.
Unfortunately my parents use the Indigo iMac G3 as their internet machine (I have given it to them on long-term-loan). I think after five years of using it they may have figured out that it is an all-in-one unit! Or maybe not... ;)

My mother went on a CRT purge a few months ago and made me dispose of two monitors (a Dell and an LG) and two televisions. Fortunately Freecycle took care of the monitors but no-one wanted the TVs. She wanted me to get rid of the 17" Acorn monitor in the attic as well, but for now it is safely hidden away. Out of sight, out of mind! ;)

I don't understand women/moms/etc. The CRTs aren't hurting anything sitting in the house. They didn't do anything wrong.

That was my argument but she seemed set on getting rid of the 17" ones.

Incidentally, someone else got the local FreeCycle iMac before me - I thought about getting it this weekend as my parents are away... ;)
