Digidesign Audiomedia REV B-1 & Quadra 700

That looks like an audiomedia I. I have the drivers for the Audiomedia II, and it wont work. Try finding the II as it has a DSP.

I have one of those cards, came with a very early AVID setup originally in a IIci.

You will probably have luck with old software that has drivers for that card directly.

Ofcourse newer cards will have more features, depends what you need to do.

I just saw a nubus card, and I mess around with audio midi & stuff with the old 68k, so what can I do with such a card?

I have no idea of its capabilities.

It has better quality analog to digital and D to A audio converters on it than the ones on the Quadra.

I am quite sure there is a DSP (digital signal processor) chip on the Audiomedia (1) card. The difference with the AMII is that the II also has coax digital S/PDIF in and out (an extra pair of RCA plugs on the back)

USE THE SEARCH FFS

both the forum search here (audiomedia), and google audiomedia nubus site:digidesign.com

I will google that up, thanks and sorry.

Could I possibly do the following.

I have an Alesis Multi Mix 12 Firewire, with digital out, plug that into audiomedia card (I or II ???) and record multitrack from the mix?

With a Quadra 700 probably?

Thanks
