Did this happen to anyone yesterday?

Yesterday afternoon at about 4:30 Australian Eastern Standard time i tried to access the forums and got this error.

Did anyone else get the same as me or was it just Murphy trying to piss me off again? :-/ (i had an annoying weekend)

lol, MultiFinder, basically, about my weekend, what happened was this:

- I blew up the Athlon on Friday, as we all know :(

- On Sunday, after i got home i realised i left my USB drive at our other house, an hour away. A USB drive which "just happens" to contain a 1000 word essay thats due today. :-/ Which i'm currently rewriting. :-/

- I got that error and couldn't access the forums

Btw, funkytoad, if you're getting that error too, then how come i see this thread in one of your other tabs in Firefox? ;)

Call me dumb if you want, but I have no clue what that IP is for.

I assumed that may have been what you did. :p I have no clue what it is either...all i did was type in 68kmla.org and i got that. All other websites worked though, so it shouldn't have been an issue with my PC or ISP.

well, that sure is strange.

I guess that is an IP for the MLA

I wonder why you got that.

Sounds like a DNS problem, may have directed you off to another site from the 68kmla.org domain if an error occured on the server intermittently.

Long story short, could be the host or domain provider rather than the site itself.

Hmm, does look like a mungled DNS record at your end. That IP certainly has nothing to do with the server that the 68kMLA is on.

Interesting...i've been using Dodo for almost a year now, and until Sunday afternoon i've had nothing but good luck with them....so much better than the evil Telstra. Oh well. :-/

This sounds like the saga of Qwest and Comcast in the US.

In my belief that Comcast is the evil one. ;)
