Apple T-shirt!

Wooo! Just got back from the Apple Store and I got a Leopard T-shirt! So even though I can't have Leopard, I've still got the T-shirt! :D My G3 cried when it saw the T-shirt from the party to which it wasn't invited though :'( PS I put up a few photos of the local Apple Store here (towards the bottom of the page).

Anyone else here get the T-shirt?

Oh, and the BSoD thing is real! :O (see the photo I made of it) There seemed to be a Windows machine on the Apple Store network and it showed up in the network browser with that icon in Cover Flow mode! Seriously, do Apple really think that us Windows users are all still using old-fashioned beige monitors and Windows 95?! :p

The BSoD thing is almost as good as Steve calling it Winders during a keynote. :)

The only Apple shirt I have is from the 12 Oaks Apple Store opening in Novi, Michigan. I was #31 in line. I still have it sealed in the plastic tube.

I got a Leopard T-shirt too in Glasgow! I was lucky as they ran out very shortly after I went in the door. There was actually a queue down Buchanan Street when I arrived and the store was packed.

I didn't buy Leopard discs but I saw loads of them flying off the shelves. Some people were so keen that they were installing it on their MacBooks across the street in Starbucks!

Hahah, an installfest. :D

Anyway, looks like a sweet time...i wish i could've gone to a Leopard party..but y'know, i live in the middle of nowhere, have no car, and...well...yeah.

Btw, maybe its just me, but i do think the whole BSOD thing is a bit immature and 1990's-ish, but meh.

I think it's funny (the BSoD thing, that is). It harkens back to Apple's evangelist past, and it shows that even a major corporation can have a sense of humor. I'm sure that in 10.5.1 it'll be replaced with a Windows icon or something lame like that.

As for attending the "launch event," I've never been a fan of corporate schwagfests.

Peace,

Drew

Cool! :) How long before 6 pm did you get there? I got to ours about 10 minutes before and there was a queue around the mall, the store was absolutely packed as you can see, though it is only a small Apple Store.

I actually turned up at about 6.30pm because I got held up in traffic, but there was still a queue to get in! I was pretty lucky because the T-shirts ran out very shortly after I entered the store, and I believe there were 500 of them. The Glasgow store was packed as well even though it is a largish, two floor store on the street rather than in a mall. Unfortunately I forgot my camera this time, though my photo album from the grand opening gives a good idea of the size of the store. There were less people this time, but it was still very busy!

The UK iPhone release is in a couple of weeks I believe so I'll probably be in the queue for that too, even though I can't afford an iPhone! The free T-shirts are good souvineers and it is always good to meet other Mac enthusiasts at these events.

Oh yeah, I'm wearing my T-shirt today! :D

Ooh, will they do T-shirts for the iPhone launch too? I didn't meet any Mac enthusiasts though, I'm a bit too too shy to start talking to any of the other people there! They'd probably have thought it strange that I was there and didn't even have a Mac that could run it anyway! Or I could have just told them that I've got a "Core 2 Duo with 4 GB Ram" as my main machine, forgetting to mention its non-Apple nature... ;)
